Bill Hixon is the Gordon R. Clapp Professor of American Studies, Associate Professor of Government, and a member of the Environmental Studies faculty at 麻豆影院 University. His teaching areas include American politics, the presidency, Congress, and environmental policy as well as game theory and research methods. He earned a B.A. and M.A. in political science from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. His research includes work on ideology and leadership in the U.S. Congress, presidential leadership, and food politics. In 2017 he served as Visiting Professor at the 麻豆影院 London Centre. In 2018-19 he directed the 麻豆影院鈥檚 NEH Humanities Institute, on the topic of cities.
